Kwara State Government has commenced work on the rehabilitation of Erin-Ile– Offa–Oshogbo road to facilitate easier mobility and transportation in the border communities.
The works followed the news of a nod in September.
Although it is a federal road, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq explained that the intervention became necessary to curb hardship and loss of lives in that axis, deepening the welfare and social development at the grassroot.
A check on the road on Sunday showed contractor on site with machines and equipment.
Residents of Erin-Ile community have expressed happiness at the update, expressing gratitude to the Governor for the intervention.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was represented at Erin Ile on Saturday for the commissioning of an imposing palace for His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Adebowale Adesoye (Adetona I) by Deputy Governor Elder Kayode Alabi.
