Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has appealed to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to consider the plight of students and embrace dialogue to resolve the prolonged industrial strike at Taraba State University, (TSU) Jalingo.
The governor made the appeal during a visit to the university, where he expressed concern over the disruption of academic activities and the uncertainty facing students as a result of the ongoing strike.
Kefas urged the union and other stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue to resolve outstanding issues and facilitate the resumption of academic activities.
“The prolonged industrial action negatively affects students’ academic progress, particularly those preparing for examinations under difficult circumstances,” Kefas said.
