The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, has called on Nigerians, particularly constituents across Kwara North and other parts of the country, to register en masse in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) Membership E-Registration Exercise.
The e-registration exercise, which commences on Monday, 5th January 2025, is aimed at expanding the party’s membership base, strengthening grassroots participation, and deepening internal democracy within the APC.
Senator Sadiq described the exercise as a critical opportunity for Nigerians especially youths and first-time participants in politics to formally identify with a party committed to progressive governance, inclusion, and sustainable national development.
“This exercise is about giving every eligible Nigerian a sense of belonging and a voice within a party that believes in people-centred leadership. I urge our people to take full advantage of this opportunity and register without delay,” the Senator said.
According to him, the APC’s adoption of digital registration reflects its commitment to transparency, efficiency, and innovation, while ensuring that party membership remains accessible to citizens at the grassroots.
To be eligible, intending members must:
✅ Be 18 years and above
✅ Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
Senator Sadiq further encouraged party leaders, youth groups, women associations, and community stakeholders to mobilize massively across wards and local government areas to ensure a successful exercise.
“The strength of our democracy lies in active participation. I call on our people to not only register but also encourage family members, friends, and neighbours to do same as we continue to build a stronger APC and a better Nigeria,” he added.
The Senator reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership and grassroots development, noting that broad participation in the APC will further consolidate the party’s vision for unity, stability, and prosperity.
