Oba Samuel Fabiyi Marks 20th Coronation Anniversary, Confers “Akinrogun” Title on Engr Nurudeen Adeyemi

Oba Samuel Olawuyi Fabiyi Alomilogba II, the Onidofin of Idofin Igbana has conferred on Engr Nurudeen Adeyemi the Chieftaincy title Akinrogun of Idofin Igbana.

The Conferment was done on Saturday as the ancient town of Idofin Igbana stood still for the 20th Coronation Anniversary of the revered monarch.

The milestone anniversary, which drew dignitaries from across the state, reached a peak with the conferment of prestigious Chieftaincy titles on deserving personalities who have contributed to the growth of the community and Kwara South at large.

Highlighting the ceremony was the official conferment of the Chieftaincy title of “Akinrogun of Idofin Igbana” on Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, a member of the TETFund Board of Trustees and the Principal of the ENACT political movement.

He was represented by a high-powered delegation from Team ENACT, led by Engr. Bayo Alao due to his unavoidability.

The acceptance of the title which translates to a “Valiant Warrior” or “Defender of the People” symbolizes the community’s recognition of Adeyemi’s sustained impact in the areas of educational support and grassroots development.

The event also saw a significant showing from The Blue Cap Movement, a prominent political and social advocacy group in the state. Led by its Co-Convener, Abdulrasheed Seleke, members of the movement joined the ENACT team to celebrate the new Akinrogun.

9japarrot reports that the presence of the Blue Cap Movement is confirmation to the wide-reaching influence and cross-demographic support Engr. Adeyemi enjoys, further cementing his reputation as a bridge-builder within the Kwara South political landscape.

In his remarks during the anniversary, Oba Samuel Olawuyi Fabiyi expressed gratitude to the people of Idofin Igbana for two decades of peaceful coexistence and progress.

The monarch noted that the decision to honor Engr. Adeyemi was informed by his unwavering commitment to humanity and the advancement of the Igbomina people.

“The title of Akinrogun is not just an honor, it is a call to further service. We have seen the impact of Engr. Adeyemi’s work, and we are proud to formally welcome him as a key pillar of this kingdom.” He said.

Responding on behalf of the ENACT Principal, Engr. Bayo Alao thanked the monarch and the entire Idofin Igbana community for the rare honor.

He reaffirmed Engr. Adeyemi’s dedication to the vision of a prosperous Kwara South and pledged that the new “Akinrogun” would continue to facilitate projects that uplift the lives of the constituents.

The coronation anniversary featured colorful cultural displays, traditional drumming, and a grand reception for the guests, serving as a powerful reminder of the rich heritage that defines the Oke-Ero axis.
