BREAKING: Aisha Ahman Pategi To Empower Kwara Market Women, Traders With Moniepoint POS Terminals

Former Commissioner for Special Duties and Local Government Affairs, Hon. Mahalia Aisha Ahman Pategi is set to lead a high-impact entrepreneurship training and empowerment session for market women and petty traders in a major move to stimulate the grassroots economy and deepen financial inclusion in Kwara State.

The event, organized by the Mama Mahalia Foundation Inc. USA in strategic partnership with the Project COACH initiative will see the distribution of Moniepoint POS terminals to selected beneficiaries to modernize their business operations and facilitate seamless digital transactions.

According to the organizer in a statement obtained by 9japarrot on Monday, the empowerment program is scheduled to hold in Ilorin, the state capital, drawing participants from various trade sectors across the state.

The program, which combines vocational business training with technological empowerment, will be facilitated by the D-Positive Global Image Services Consult set for Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Hakam House, Beside Mirabilis Hotel, Along Umar Audi Road, Tanke Junction/Fate Road, Ilorin, Kwara State.

Speaking ahead of the event, the host, Hon. Aisha Ahman Pategi emphasized that the initiative is born out of a desire to see Kwara traders transition from traditional cash-based transactions to the digital banking space.

“Our goal is to ensure that the average market woman in Kwara is not left behind in the evolving digital economy. By providing them with Moniepoint POS terminals and the necessary training, we are equipping them to increase their turnover and manage their businesses with professional precision,” She said.
