Makanjuola Tours Offa, Oyun, Vows to Leverage Legislative Experience for Kwara South

Prominent aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Gbenga Makanjuola Peter has commenced his consultation tour to Offa and Oyun Local Government Areas as part of his lineup activities to intimate Stakeholders ahead of the forthcoming party’s primary election.

Amid a rousing reception from party faithful, the Omu-Aran-born politician and legal practitioner intensified his grassroots mobilization, positioning himself as the best fit for the Red Chamber based on his previous legislative record.

The tour began at the APC Secretariat in Offa, where Hon. Makanjuola was received by the party chairman, Prince Kunle Adegboye and members of the Local Government Executive.

In a display of humility that resonated with the stakeholders, Makanjuola prostrated before the party elders, reaffirming his loyalty to the party structure and his commitment to purposeful representation.

A prayer session led by the Offa APC Organizing Secretary,Sheikh Muyideen Raji Agboola set the tone for the engagement with the aspirant urging members to remain united as the party primary elections approach.

Following his Offa consultation, the aspirant alongside his supporters moved to Ilemona, the headquarters of Oyun Local Government.

Receiving the aspirant, the Oyun APC Vice Chairman, Hon. Adeshina Adejuwon, assured him of the local structure’s readiness to mobilize support.

“Oyun APC received you with love, and we assure you of our unwavering support,” Adejuwon said, adding that the structure remains fully prepared to mobilize for his aspiration.

Addressing the gathering in Oyun, Hon. Makanjuola, who served two terms in the House of Representatives (2003–2011), reminded stakeholders that he is not a novice in the business of lawmaking.

He emphasized that his time in the Green Chamber was marked by meaningful impact and that he is ready to scale that experience at the Senate.

“I am your son, and I have come to sincerely seek your support,” Makanjuola said.

“My track record in public office speaks for itself. I made a meaningful impact during my time in the House of Representatives, and I am ready to do even more as a Senator. I will not fail you.” He added.

On the sidelines of the stakeholders’ visits, earlier the aspirant also held a closed-door meeting with the Gbenga Makanjuola Support Group in Offa, where He charged the members to intensify their door-to-door campaigns across all wards, stressing that grassroots mobilization is the key to victory in the forthcoming primaries.
