
Hon. Olushola Odetundun has been successfully cleared to contest the party’s primary election giving him the opportunity to pursue his second term bid as member representing Irepodun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly come 2027.
Hon. Odetundun, a Project Manager and Tourism expert who currently represents the constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, confirmed his clearance on Friday in a statement made available to 9japarrot media through his media team, signaling the official commencement of his re-election bid for the 2027 cycle.
In a statement titled “Hon. Olushola Again!”, the lawmaker reaffirmed his belief in the power of community-driven leadership. He maintained that his campaign is built on a foundation of listening to the yearnings of the people of Irepodun and acting on their specific developmental needs.
“I believe in the power of community,” Odetundun said, adding that he will listen to the people of Irepodun, understand their needs, and act on them.
“My campaign is not just about winning — it’s about building a better tomorrow for all of us.” He added.
Odetundun, a Coventry University alumnus, has anchored his bid on his performance during his first term in the 10th Assembly. Since assuming office in March 2023, he has been a vocal advocate for the Irepodun axis, focusing on legislative oversight and constituency outreach.
His clearance comes at a time when political mobilization within the Kwara APC is at an all-time high, with a reported 158 aspirants vying for the 24 available State Assembly tickets across the 16 local government areas.
