I read the press statement from the group that calls itself “Kwara APC Like-Minds” and the only word that came to mind was: shameless.
It was a long, bitter, and dishonest rant. Not because they have facts, but because they lost a primary and cannot accept it. So they have chosen the coward’s route hide behind a faceless WhatsApp name and throw stones at the real structure of the party in Offa.
Let’s call this what it is. “Kwara APC Like-Minds” is not a group. It is a microphone for one frustrated aspirants and their few followers. No office. No ward structure. No elected position. No mandate from a single APC member in Offa. Yet they have the audacity to call the duly elected Offa APC Executive “ghosts.”
The irony would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic. You are the ghost. You do not exist in the APC constitution. You do not exist in INEC’s records. You do not exist on the ground. The only place you exist is in press releases and in the bitterness of people who could not sell their candidacy to party members.
The Offa APC Executive was elected. Ward congresses held. LG congresses held. Delegates voted. Results were sent to the state and national secretariat. If you doubt it, go to the party or go to INEC. But you won’t. Because this was never about facts. This is about crying foul after failing to win.
You listed events in Offa Yahya Seriki’s visit, Bob’s launch, Hajia Farida Dankaka’s homecoming, Teslim Balogun’s reception, Dr. Salako’s meetings and claimed the Executive “boycotted.” Nothing could be further from the truth.
Hajia Farida Dankaka’s homecoming was fully attended by APC stakeholders across Offa. The event had the backing of the party at every level. The Governor was represented by a delegation from Ilorin, while the party constituted a planning committee led by the State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Waheed Babatunde. Ward-by-ward mobilization was coordinated by Baba Promo, ensuring a massive turnout. Ironically, even the aspirant you are desperately defending was present at the event. So, who exactly boycotted it?
The same applies to Teslim Balogun’s reception. From the opening activities to the grand finale, the entire APC structure in Offa was actively involved. Party leaders, executives, ward officials, youths, women, and stakeholders all participated. The event was a collective success, not the fiction you are trying to sell.
Stop twisting facts to suit a failed narrative. Political disappointment should not become an excuse to rewrite history. The people were there. The party was there. Even those you now speak for were there. What is left is for you to stop peddling falsehoods and accept reality.
Then you had the nerve to talk about the secretariat. “The Senator collected it because you are toxic.” Please. Party property belongs to the APC. Leaders will decide how it is used to promote unity. It was not handed to you because you have proven, time and again, that you cannot be trusted with anything bigger than a press statement. You are divisive, you are rude, and you are a liability.
But the lowest point was your demand for bank statements and your reckless accusation of a breach of Section 84. This is not activism. This is blackmail. If you have evidence, go to court. If you have a petition, go to the party. But you won’t, because you know you have nothing. You just want to drag names in the mud so you can feel relevant for one news cycle.
You quoted the Electoral Act but you spat on due process. You talk about transparency but you want trial by media. You talk about party supremacy but you reject every decision that does not favor you. That is not principle. That is entitlement.
Let’s talk history since you like to twist it. 2019 had a primary. 2022 had a primary. 2026 has had a primary and a winner has emerged. Other aspirants accepted it like adults. Hon. Taiye Omotosho lost before and she did not become a nuisance. She stayed loyal, worked, and waited. Today she is being rewarded. That is how progressives behave. Not this tantrum you are throwing.
So here is the reality, “Kwara APC Like-Minds”: Offa APC is not a ghost. It is flesh and blood. It is chairmen, secretaries, women leaders, and youth leaders who are in the wards every day. You are the ghost. You appear only when there is a camera or when your candidate loses.
The primary is over. Kwara APC has a candidate. The time for drama is over. The time for work has started.
If you have a case, meet us in court. If you have a complaint, bring it to the party. If you have nothing, then sit down.
Because no amount of insult, no amount of lies, and no amount of press releases will change what the people have already decided.
The APC is bigger than your bitterness. And it will move on with or without you.
Amb. Ibrahim Isiaka Uthman (MY-REP),
APC Youth Leader of Ojomu Central B Ward.
