The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, has stated that the overwhelming reception accorded party leaders during their statewide consultative and Thank You Visit tours reflects deep grassroots unity and support across Kwara State.
Speaking on the party’s ongoing engagement with traditional institutions, Danladi emphasized that the gratitude visits across Kwara Central and Kwara South demonstrate the APC’s consolidated political presence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“This overwhelming support reflects the strength and unity of our party. As I always say whenever any candidate or I speak, we are cruising to victory by God’s grace” Danladi said.
“We have conducted these ‘thank you’ visits in Kwara Central, where we paid homage to the Emir of Ilorin, who is the Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers across the state, as well as virtually all the Baloguns. We are currently in Kwara South, and we will definitely proceed to Kwara North to express our gratitude to the traditional institutions and residents for what they have done for their son, for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and for Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.” He added.
According to him, the consultative visits aim to reinforce relationships with traditional custodians and community stakeholders who serve as key leaders across all three senatorial districts.
9japarrot reports that following the completion of tours in Kwara Central and Kwara South, the APC campaign train is set to conclude its preliminary engagement tour in Kwara North to build momentum ahead of the official campaign launch on August 19.
