Prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain, former Kwara South Senatorial aspirant, and Principal of the ENACT movement, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, alongside ward elder Hon. Jeolayemi Bolarinwa (Alabi Seniyan), has officially unveiled the newly appointed Ward Executive Committee for Esie/Ijan Ward in Irepodun Local Government Area.
The unveiling took place on Sunday following an APC Esie/Ijan Ward Stakeholders’ Engagement held at the Image Gallery in Esie, bringing together party leaders, community elders, women groups, and political supporters.
Delivering the welcome address, Chief Oladipo Raphael Kayode affirmed that Esie/Ijan Ward remains a steadfast stronghold of the APC under the leadership of Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. He assured that all party flagbearers would receive overwhelming votes from the ward in the upcoming general elections.
Addressing internal dynamics, Chief Kayode stated that there are no remaining political rifts within the ward, clarifying that those who chose to leave the party had publicly declared their positions. He urged the remaining members to stand firm, maintain absolute loyalty, and initiate house-to-house and door-to-door mobilization once election campaigns officially kick off. He also charged ward members to give maximum cooperation and support to the newly unveiled ward executives.
Speaking at Esie Town Hall, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun welcomed participants on behalf of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, describing the new executive council as a vital organizational asset for the party’s success.
“I welcome you all on behalf of the Kwara State Governor. Let us view this executive council as a critical asset for every member, stakeholder, and elder in our ward. As the APC campaign season approaches, let us mobilize our people en masse and remain committed to addressing their needs, standing firmly on the mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and all APC candidates across the state,” Adeyemi said.
He further urged party members to be united and continued to work for the collective interest of the party most importantly as the 2027 elections is fast approaching.
Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the newly inaugurated ward executive committee, the executive representative expressed gratitude to party leadership, elders, and stakeholders for placing confidence in their capacity.
The new leadership pledged total dedication to duty, promising that Esie/Ijan Ward would deliver a total victory for all APC candidates across Irepodun Local Government and the state at large.
