••• As Ajase Ward 1 Vows 100% Votes for PDP
The political atmosphere in Ajase Ward 1 came alive on Saturday as Hon. Ahmed Alabi Olobi, the Bobaselu of Ajase-Ipo and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), charged party leaders and stakeholders to ensure total victory for all PDP candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Olobi gave the charge during a general meeting of the party held in Ajase town, the headquarters of Ajase Ward 1 in Irepodun Local Government Area. The meeting drew party faithful, elders, and youth groups from across the ward.
Welcomed with chants from supporters, Olobi praised the ward executive, led by Alhaji Saheed Taofeek (Wabillahi), for coordinating local party activities and maintaining unity.
Addressing the gathering, Olobi appreciated the members for their turnout despite current economic challenges, specifically referencing the impact of insecurity on agrarian communities in Kwara South. He urged members to intensify house-to-house mobilization across the local communities and expressed confidence in the PDP gubernatorial ticket of Engr. Suleiman Bolakale Kawu (Dan Iya) and his running mate, Rev. Cornelius Oluwasegun Fawenu.
Olobi, who previously ran as a candidate for the PDP in the 2024 Local Government elections, pledged his continued support to the growth of the party and member welfare.
Following the address, ward stakeholders and community leaders passed a resolution declaring their readiness to support the PDP in the upcoming electoral cycle.
Also speaking at the event, the PDP House of Assembly candidate for Irepodun State Constituency, Hon. Shola Odetundun urged voters to support the party across all elective positions from the governorship to the National Assembly and State House of Assembly candidates.
In his closing remarks, the Irepodun Local Government PDP Chairman, Hon. Oluwole Adeyeye commended party members for their steadfastness and called for sustained focus as campaign activities progress.
