Professor Wale Sulaiman, CON, the renowned neurosurgeon and Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun (FUHSI), has continued his “Unity Tour” across Irepodun Local Government Area. With his recent visits to the Executive Chairman of Irepodun Local Government, Hon. Tinuola Yakubu, and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Local Government.
During his visit to the APC family in Irepodun, aimed at familiarizing himself with the members, executives, and stakeholders, Professor Sulaiman acknowledged the party’s commendable performance under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
He explained that his “Unity Tour” is designed to foster cohesion among the people of Irepodun Local Government Area towards a unified common goal.

The tour also serves to congratulate the Executive Chairman of Irepodun on his notable achievements and to commiserate with him over recent unfortunate incidents in Omu-Aran.
“My visit today is to congratulate you on your achievements so far and to commiserate with you on the incident that led to the unfortunate burning and damaging of key structures in the palace,” Professor Sulaiman stated.
“This gathering is also an avenue to commend His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who has demystified Kwara politics, built men, and for his strategic achievements.” He added.
Reaffirming his allegiance, Professor Sulaiman declared that he’s committed to the good work of His Excellency, and myself and my team remain committed and loyal to him as the Leader of the All Progressive Congress party in the State.”
He commended Chairman Yakubu, noting that the Chairman is following the steps of His Excellency, praising him as an “action-driven leader” and acknowledging him as “an achiever and a leader with core progressive ideas for his notable achievements in the Local Government.
Addressing his personal aspirations, Professor Sulaiman clarified that his sole ambition currently is the “Unity of the Local Government,” evident in his ongoing tour to unite all members towards a common goal and the betterment of the people at large.
Speaking, the Executive Chairman of Irepodun Local Government, Hon. Tinuola Yakubu, expressed profound gratitude to Professor Wale Sulaiman for deeming it fit to visit the APC structures in the local government and pay him a congratulatory visit.
“Despite being a global individual with international repute and exposure, you still deem it fit to pay us a visit despite being a senior to me in all ramifications; this shows your humbleness and commitment to ensure peace reigns in Irepodun for the betterment of our party and the people,” Yakubu said.
The Chairman further stated that whatever Prof Wale wants in Kwara South, he deserves it.
Honourable Yakubu charged the APC family to imbibe this kind of spirit and take teachings from Prof Wale Sulaiman’s humility to unite their people at their respective districts and ward.
On her part, the Irepodun APC Chairlady, Hon. Kazeem Rasheedat, lauded Professor Wale Sulaiman’s humility and reassured him of the party’s continuous support.
Comrade Okere noted that Professor Wale Sulaiman right from time immemorial has taught them politics without bitterness, which has fostered peaceful coexistence within his team.
Aboji Seyi Sunday praised Professor Sulaiman for his support even while in a different party, urging the renowned neurosurgeon to stand right and keep doing the great job.
Reacting, Chief Barrister Atolagbe Ayanshola expressed delight in Professor Wale Sulaiman’s visitation, acknowledging that the APC Irepodun family are happy to associate with him.

Shortly after his tour, Professor Wale Sulaiman paid homage to the palace of Olomu of Omu-Aran, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulraheem Adeoti, to commiserate with him on the recent unfortunate incident that led to the burning of some sections of the palace structures by community youth.
“We’re here to commiserate with Your Royal Majesty on the recent unfortunate issue that happened at your palace,” he said.
“We’re here to also let you know that within our capacity, we’ll support in fixing this, He added.
On his part, Oba Adeoti described the incident as an innovation gap” between him and his children due to light issues involving the PHCN, which was misconstrued and led to the unfortunate event.
He expressed that peace has returned, and everything will be put in order to avoid future similar occurrences.
The revered monarch lauded Professor Wale Sulaiman as an international man of timber and caliber, noting that his portfolio as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Board of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun, is commendable and a good choice by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“You are a figure to reckon with, and I know certainly what you are pursuing will be yours and come to reality,” He said.

Rounding up the tour on Thursday Prof Wale Sulaiman visited Oloro of Oro Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II and Oloro in council to commiserate with him on the recent unfortunate security issues which affected some communities within the Kingdom, and he ended his tour in Ajasse-Ipo to socialize with APC party members and stakeholdersvisited some stakeholders and APC groups at Ajase Ward I to further intimate them in line with the purpose of his unity tour.
