Dr. Aishat Abdul-Qadir Zubair of the Department of Islamic Law, Faculty of Law, Kwara State University, Malete, has been appointed as a Member of the Advisory Committee of Experts (ACE) for the Non-Interest Banking Window of the Bank of Industry (BOI) Limited.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated January 17, 2026, and signed by the Group Head (Non-Interest Banking) of the Bank of Industry (BOI), Jelilat Ismail-Ayinde.
Dr. Zubair is a Fellow of the Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Combined Law from the University of Ilorin and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010 as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
With over 15 years of experience as a researcher and industry expert, Dr. Zubair has earned several awards and recognitions. Her Ph.D. research on “Sukuk” earned her the University of Ilorin best PhD. thesis award for the 2021/2022 academic session. She was also the Overall Best Graduating Postgraduate Student (Master’s) of the International Islamic University, Malaysia, in 2014.
An active member of KWASU community, Dr. Zubair currently serves as the coordinator of the Department of Islamic Law.
