Ahead of its official launch, the Kwara State Chapter of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) on Tuesday convened Stakeholders engagement with the Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Working Committee.
The gathering brought together TTB State officials, Deputy Coordinators, and party leaders to fine-tune preparations for the movement’s formal rollout.
The meeting, presided over by the Kwara APC Women Leader, Hajia Falilat Ronke Muhammed, and convened by the TTB State Coordinator who double hats as the APC House of Representatives candidate for the Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency—Hon. Chief Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi, served as a key socialization drive with the state party structure.
Delivering her opening remarks, Hon. Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi outlined the core objectives of the movement, describing the Tinubu Torch Bearers as a nationwide grassroots platform established to mobilize unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC across Nigeria.
She explained that the movement was established under the leadership of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, with Dr. Ngozi Olejeme serving as the National Coordinator to spearhead grassroots mobilization.
“Our responsibility is to promote and communicate the Renewed Hope Agenda by educating citizens on the groundbreaking policies, programs, and tangible achievements of the Tinubu administration,” She added.
“Through civic participation, voter education, and structure-building across all 774 local government areas and polling units, the TTB will play a central role in delivering President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027 while solidifying APC’s dominant presence in Kwara State.” the TTB Coordinator said.
Corroborating the TTB State Coordinator, the Kwara State APC Women Leader, Hajia Falilat Ronke Muhammed, emphasized the pivotal role of women and grassroots organizers in political sustainability.
She commended Hon. Oyeyemi’s proactive leadership and urged all local government deputy coordinators to take the message of progressive governance to every ward in the state.
Speaking also, the Kwara APC State Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi who was represented by the State Deputy Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sanmari lauded the initiative as a timely operational boost for the party structure in Kwara State, assuring the movement of the full backing of the state executive committee.
He expressed absolute confidence in Hon. Olasumbo Oyeyemi’s capacity to lead both the TTB movement and represent the party creditably at the National Assembly come 2027.
A major highlight of the session was the symbolic presentation of official TTB souvenirs to the Kwara APC leadership signaling the beginning of a collective movement ahead of the 2027 general election.
Hon. Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi, joined by the State Deputy Coordinators and key TTB executives, officially presented the branded materials to Hon. Abdullahi Sanmari, who received them on behalf of Prince Sunday Fagbemi and the Kwara APC Working Committee.
