Paris Saint-Germain(PSG) plans to extend Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s contract before the announcement of Ballon d’Or.
According to a report on Le’Equipe this is to avoid more difficult negotiations if Kvaratskhelia wins the award.
Discussions have been going on between Kvaratskhelia’s camp and the Ligue 1 champions for several weeks.
The negotiations are said to be proceeding very positively, with an agreement expected to be reach soon.
The new deal would keep Kvaratskhelia until 2030 or 2031 and include a salary increase.
Kvaratskhelia won both the Ligue 1 and Champions League titles with PSG last season and he is one of the top contenders for the Ballon d’Or prize that would be announced by next month.
