The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has declined Galatasaray’s request regarding striker, Victor Osimhen.
Galatasaray had proposed to the NFF to prevent Osimhen from playing in Nigeria’s AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau later this month.
Nigeria will play against Madagascar on 25 September and Guinea-Bissau on 29 September.
However, according to SCORENigeria, the NFF declined the request, stating that they needed the former Napoli hitman for the crucial matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.
This comes after Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle called up Osimhen to the Nigerian national team squad for the AFCON qualifiers.
Osimhen is currently recovering from a groin injury, and he will miss Galatasaray’s match against Trabzonspor on Saturday.
