The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 12 establishments across different parts of the state over persistent noise pollution and other environmental violations.
The agency said the affected establishments continued to violate environmental regulations despite receiving several warnings, abatement notices and opportunities to correct the issues.
In a statement, LASEPA said the establishments were sealed on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.
According to the agency, the enforcement operation was carried out in line with the Lagos State Government’s efforts to ensure compliance with environmental laws, protect public health and maintain a cleaner and safer environment.
LASEPA said the establishments failed to carry out the required corrective measures and comply with directives issued by the agency.
The sealed establishments include Thrillz Lounge on Odusanmi Street, Ogba; Feixiang Plastic along LASU-Ojo Road; Marvel Hotel & Suites in Igando; Keviz Hotel & Suites on Councilor Ajayi Street, Obadore; and DSN Hotel & Suites on Benson Onyeacholen Street.
Others are Rudaj Vegetable Oil on Tanimowo Street, Igando; Celestial Church of Christ (Aduragbemi Parish) on Adetola Buhari Street, Ikotun; Limas on Aro-Oloye Street, Abaranje; Nico Hotel & Suites on Ayawo Close, Ejigbo; 10Kobo Night Club on Abanishe Street, Agodo-Egbe; Master Furniture on Coleman Street, Idimu-Ikota Road; and Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge on Governor’s Road, Ikotun.
Speaking on the enforcement, LASEPA General Manager, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, said the agency would continue to monitor establishments and enforce environmental standards across the state.
Ajayi said environmental protection was a collective responsibility and warned individuals, businesses, religious organisations and other bodies against activities that could endanger the environment and public health.
He also urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and residents to obtain the necessary permits, comply with environmental regulations and work with LASEPA to maintain a cleaner and healthier Lagos.
