The Management of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has recognised five students for their outstanding efforts in promoting the positive image, values and reputation of the institution.
The recognition, presented on Thursday, September 24, 2026, through the Directorate of Student Services, honoured students who have consistently demonstrated commitment to positively representing the Polytechnic and contributing to the promotion of its core values.
The beneficiaries are Ahmed Suliyat from Accountancy Department HND II, Abdulazeez Mumeen from Quantity Survey Department HND II, Balogun Adetunji Oluwatobiloba from Software and Web Development Department HND II, Abdullahi Dauda Adewale from Public Administration Department HND II, and Amao Baqqi from Agricultural Engineering Department, HND II.
The students were recognised for using their platforms, particularly social media, to promote the institution positively, challenge unfounded negative stereotypes about the Polytechnic, champion campaigns against indecency and encourage conduct that upholds the dignity and values of the institution.
The initiative reflects the Management’s commitment to encouraging students to become responsible ambassadors of Kwara State Polytechnic and to positively represent the institution wherever they find themselves.
The recognition also underscores the importance of student participation in shaping the public perception of educational institutions, particularly through responsible use of social media and positive engagement within and outside the Polytechnic community.
