A high-powered special prayer session was on Sunday held in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, to seek divine intervention for the 2027 governorship ambition of Engr. Femi Sanni, popularly known as ‘Araba’.
The event, which took place at the Government Secondary School (GSS), Amule and covered by 9japarrot media was organized by the Kwara Central Ulama and drew a massive turnout of religious leaders, political stakeholders, and community influencers across the state.
Beyond the governorship aspiration, the session also featured prayers for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and the continued progress of the Kwara State government under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Addressing the gathering on behalf of the aspirant, the Secretary to Engr. Femi Sanni, Hon. Salman Ishowo, expressed gratitude to the clerics and the people of Kwara for their voluntary support.
He noted that the “Araba 2027” vision is rooted in the desire to build upon the developmental strides currently being witnessed in the state.
The officiating clerics, including Imam AbdulRasheed AbdulGaniy Ode Ishowo and Ustaz Muheedeen Alawo Al-daby, led the congregation in the recitation of Al-qunut and other special supplications.
In his remarks, Imam AbdulGaniy emphasized the necessity of leadership grounded in justice and accountability.
He urged the political class to prioritize the welfare of the masses, noting that the prayer session was a spiritual foundation for a peaceful transition and sustained national stability.
The atmosphere at the Amule venue was described as ecstatic, as various youth groups and women organizations turned up en masse in support of the “Araba” mandate.
According to the organizers, the prayer session is part of a series of engagements aimed at mobilizing the citizenry for a prosperous Nigeria and a greater Kwara State under the actualization of the Araba 2027 project.
