The Kwara State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has elected a new Executive Council to oversee the affairs of the institute and strengthen the practice of public relations in the state.
Mr. Ogunade Gabriel was re-elected as the new Chairman of the institute following the conclusion of the chapter’s electoral process, which ushered in a new leadership to steer the affairs of the professional body.
Speaking shortly after his election, the newly elected Chairman expressed appreciation to members of the institute for the confidence reposed in him, describing his emergence as both an honour and a call to greater service.
Swearing in the newly elected executive members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Summit held at the State Banquet Hall in Ilorin, a member of the NIPR Governing Council and University of Ilorin don, Prof. Saudat Sallah Abdulbaqi, charged them to uphold the core ethics, discipline, and standard protocols that define the charter of the professional institute.
The UNILORIN don congratulated the new leadership team while wishing them a successful and impactful tenure in office.
According to the official announcement, the newly elected executive council members who will run the affairs of the chapter include Mr. Ogunade Gabriel Oluwaloseyi as Chairman, Mr. Opaleke Abimbola as Vice Chairman, and Mr. Olarewaju Basheer Lukman as Secretary.
Other elected officers are Mr. Sule Sanni Mohammed as Assistant Secretary, Omole Damilola M. as Internal Auditor, Mrs. Falilat Adebayo Lawal as Treasurer, Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Suleman as Financial Secretary, Mrs. Bukola Mohammed as Welfare Officer, and Mrs Ayobami Dorcas Ashaolu as Public Relations Officer (PRO).
