The Kwara Solidarity Movement (KSM) has reaffirmed its commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), urging members of the party to remain united and work towards victory in the 2027 general elections.
The movement made the call on Friday during a press conference at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre in Ilorin. The statement was delivered by the State Coordinator of KSM, Arc. Akanbi Lamidi Lamak.
KSM, which described itself as a political association of former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members who joined the APC between 2023 and the present, said it remained committed to the leadership of Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Reacting to the political situation in the state following the APC primary elections, the group urged party members who may be aggrieved by the outcome to accept it in good faith and put the interest of the party above individual differences.

The movement also called on Kwara residents and APC members to support the party’s governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, as well as its preferred senatorial candidates.
It expressed support for AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for Kwara Central Senatorial District, Dr. Mahmud Umar Muhammad for Kwara North and Chief Lekan Adewole for Kwara South.
The group further declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, saying its members would mobilise at the grassroots for his re-election in 2027.
The movement appealed to all factions within the APC in Kwara State to embrace dialogue and reconciliation, warning that prolonged internal disagreements could weaken the party and benefit the opposition.
KSM also appealed to Ambassador Yahaya Seriki to reconsider his grievances and return to the fold, acknowledging his past moral and financial contributions to the APC.
According to the group, Seriki’s grievances are genuine but should be addressed through reconciliation in the interest of the unity of the state and the party.
KSM also offered advice to Governor AbdulRazaq, urging him to embrace greater dialogue, persuasion and consolidation within the party.
The movement called for more credible, committed and loyal party members to be considered for government patronage and inclusion in electoral processes and programmes.
It maintained that greater inclusion would strengthen the APC and make electoral victory easier.
The group called on APC members across the ward, local government, state and federal levels to remain loyal to the party, adding that its collective strength, solidarity and numerical strength must ultimately translate into votes for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
