Nollywood actress and producer Wumi Toriola has disclosed that her YouTube channel, Wumi Toriola TV, is currently facing technical difficulties, resulting in a pause in the release of new movies.
The actress made this known in a video shared online after some of her fans began questioning why she had stopped uploading new content to the platform.
Toriola explained that she had been dealing with the issue for some time and initially chose to handle it privately, hoping she would be able to resolve the problem without making it public.
She stressed that the channel was built through years of hard work and a strong relationship with her audience, adding that she remains committed to restoring it and resuming regular uploads once the technical problems are resolved.
The actress also said she would not blame anyone or make unverified claims about the cause of the problem, noting that she preferred to simply describe the situation as a technical issue.
“I don’t know how to start. I have done a couple of videos, but I ended up deleting them. Some of you are asking if it’s because I am on holiday. I haven’t uploaded to Wumi Toriola TV because of the fanbase, relationship and bond I built with them. Unfortunately, we can’t post because we are having technical issues,” she said.
According to Toriola, the situation has been emotionally challenging, despite her efforts to remain strong and resolve the matter herself.
“I have been strong for the longest, and I’ve been trying to keep this together, thinking I could resolve it myself. I am not going to blame anybody; I am not going to blackmail anyone. I won’t say someone reported my page or make excuses. I will say we are having technical issues,” she added.
Reflecting on the effort she invested in building the channel, the actress admitted that the situation had taken an emotional toll on her, although she had tried to keep her struggles private.
“Y’all know how hard I built that channel. I have cried in private, and I promise not to cry in public. I am not going to cry. It’s taking a toll on me, but I decided to share it with y’all,” Toriola said.
