
A special prayer session was held at the Old Central Mosque, Idi-Ape, Ilorin, where religious leaders, political supporters, and well-wishers gathered to seek divine guidance for Hon. Omar Bolaji Gambari’s 2027 governorship ambition.  
The event, organized by the Omar Bolaji Gambari Vanguard (OBGV), was attended by a large crowd, reflecting growing support for his political aspiration. Leading the prayer session were Imam Isiaq Ibrahim (Imam of Ajengbe) and Alhaji Sakariyah Junaid (Imam of Masalasi Eleeku Alagbado), who prayed for wisdom, strength, and divine favor for Hon. Omar Bolaji Gambari and his family.  
In his sermon, Alhaji Sakariyah Junaid emphasized the importance of faith and moral leadership, stating that those seeking public office must be guided by honesty, selflessness, and a commitment to the welfare of the people.
He commended Hon. Omar Bolaji Gambari’s dedication to community development, while urging citizens to support leaders who prioritize progress and inclusivity.  
The cleric also stressed the need for prayers and unity in governance, noting that a state thrives when led by individuals rooted in morality and service. 
He encouraged residents to actively contribute to the development of Kwara State while continuing to pray for good governance.  
The gathering recognized the role of Alhaji AbdulRasaq Agbaoja, the convener of the event, for his unwavering support of Hon. Omar Bolaji Gambari’s political journey. 
Many attendees expressed their confidence in Gambari’s leadership potential, describing him as a visionary leader with a strong track record of community service.  
With increasing political activities ahead of 2027, the prayer session was seen as a demonstration of growing grassroots support for Hon. Omar Bolaji Gambari, with many hoping that his aspiration will bring positive transformation to Kwara State.
