Transfer: Fenerbahçe Eye January Move for In-Form Iheanacho

Turkish giants Fenerbahçe are reportedly planning a January move for Bursaspor striker Kelechi Iheanacho following his impressive start to life in Turkey.

Iheanacho, who joined Bursaspor on a free transfer this summer, has attracted attention with his outstanding performances for the club.

The Nigeria international has scored 16 goals and provided three assists in 12 league appearances for the Green Crocodiles.

The 30-year-old’s impressive form has reportedly caught the attention of Fenerbahçe, who are considering a move for the striker during the January transfer window, according to Turkish news outlet HT Spor.

Fenerbahçe, who are hoping to challenge their Istanbul rivals, Galatasaray, for the Turkish Super Lig title, are looking to strengthen their attacking options.

The Yellow Canaries currently occupy fifth position on the league table, with 16 points from nine matches.

Meanwhile, the club parted ways with former manager İsmail Kartal this week following their derby defeat to Galatasaray.

Former Liverpool winger Dirk Kuyt is expected to take charge of the team on an interim basis pending the appointment of a substantive head coach.
