Kwara South APC Candidate Lekan Adewoye Unveils Campaign Logistics, Donates ₦7m, Siena Bus in Offa

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kwara South Senatorial District, Prince Lekan Adewoye, has unveiled campaign vehicles and distributed campaign materials to campaign teams across the district’s seven local government areas, while donating ₦7 million and a Siena bus to the Jamat Qadiriyyah in Offa.

Adewoye’s activities in Offa also featured a rally by thousands of APC supporters, a reception at his maternal family home and participation in a youth sensitisation programme, where he donated ₦1 million in support of youth engagement.

The senator-designate was welcomed by a large crowd of APC supporters at the entrance of Offa. He subsequently joined the supporters in a rally to Ile Dundu Compound, his maternal family home, accompanied by the Offa Local Government Chairman, Hon. Olatunji Sulaiman Omituntun, and other APC stakeholders.

At the family residence, members of his maternal family received him warmly, highlighting his family heritage and the contributions of his mother to the family and community.

The family appealed to residents to recognise Adewoye as a son of the soil and support his ambition to represent Kwara South Senatorial District in the National Assembly in the 2027 general elections.

Prayers were offered for his wellbeing and success, while the family donated ₦600,000 to community members. Adewoye also presented cash gifts to elderly members of the household while seeking their prayers and blessings.

In continuation of his engagements in Offa, Adewoye attended the SYD Youth Sensitisation Programme, where he donated ₦1 million and described young people as the pillars of the nation.

Speaking at the programme, Adewoye emphasised the importance of youth participation in leadership and governance, saying the time had come for young people to play a more prominent role in shaping the country’s future.

He also commended Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for creating opportunities for younger people to participate in politics and leadership.

According to Adewoye, the growing involvement of young politicians represents an opportunity to bring fresh ideas, energy and perspectives into governance.

“It’s youth o’clock,” Adewoye said, stressing the need for greater youth participation in political leadership.

Also speaking at the programme, Hon. Oguniyi Adato, identified in the event’s account as a deputy governor, said the current political dispensation in Kwara State provides opportunities for young people to contribute meaningfully to governance.

Adato noted that SYD, who is expected to emerge as a governorship candidate, is a young politician, just as he and Adewoye also belong to the younger generation of political leaders.

He attributed the growing participation of youths in the state’s political landscape to the leadership approach of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, adding that young people now have opportunities to pursue leadership positions and contribute to the state’s development.

Adato urged young people to take advantage of the opportunities available to them and remain actively involved in the political process.

Earlier before the journey to offa, Adewoye unveiled campaign vehicles and distributed campaign materials to his campaign teams at his senatorial office in Ajase-Ipo.

The exercise, which covers the seven local government areas of Kwara South Senatorial District, is aimed at improving campaign coordination, strengthening grassroots mobilisation and facilitating engagement with residents ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The distribution is expected to support campaign activities and improve communication between campaign teams and communities across the district.

Adewoye’s engagements in Offa combined religious participation, family ties, youth mobilisation and political outreach as preparations continue for the 2027 elections.
