At least 11 players could miss Saturday’s Premier League encounter between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are expected to be without first-choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who underwent surgery this week after suffering a fractured jaw during their 2-0 victory over Everton last weekend.
Team captain Reece James will also miss the fixture after undergoing knee surgery, while winger Jamie Gittens remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.
Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has also confirmed that Pep Chavarria will not return in time for the London derby.
Emmanuel Emegha is doubtful for the encounter after suffering a minor setback following his return to training.
Meanwhile, Tottenham will be without Mykhailo Mudryk, Lucas Bergvall and Savio.
The trio will join long-term absentees Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert on the sidelines.
Rodrigo Bentancur is also unavailable as he continues to serve a suspension following his red card against Manchester United, while Destiny Udogie is another player set to miss the encounter.
Both teams will be looking to secure a positive result in the London derby despite their respective injury and availability concerns.
